For more than 25 years, the owners and employees at TurtleShack.com, have been breeding, raising and working with more than one-hundred turtle and tortoise species. We play an active role in our local, Florida community donating to local schools and hospitals. We are also members of national organizations devoted to the well-being of turtles and tortoises throughout the United States.
Turtleshack.com is a proud member of the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council, Florida Tropical Fish Farmers Association, and the Turtle and Tortoise Club of Florida. We're also active members of the Suncoast Herpetological Society, a not-for-profit organization devoted to the conservation and preservation of turtles and tortoises through education. Turtleshack.com works closely with the Department of Agriculture and is an active participant in the Great American Teach-In, which helps guide America's youth toward fulfilling careers.
We believe in the well-being of every turtle and tortoise on the planet. Our participation in rescue and relocation efforts saved more than three-hundred endangered Gopher Tortoises. We actively provide knowledge and donate supplies to a variety of institutions - Wildlife Care Alliance, Brook Woods Deer Run, Double WW Turtle Refuge and Econcerns, LTD. We also provide supplies to a number of accredited universities throughout the country to aid in their research. Turtleshack.com is always working with UPS to fine tune the shipping process and develop safer standards for shipping turtles and tortoises all over the world.
